Long Version of Bio: Stanislaw Preyzner was born in 1911 in the Eastern part of Poland now a part of Russia.

He quickly developed a great deal of fascination of art from an early age. His talent was soon recognized by the renowned painters of the time who helped him obtain admission to the Warsaw Fine Art Academy at the age of 15. Most of his inspiration came from nature. He soon developed his own style and this brought him numerous awards and prizes. Until WW II, he continually painted. But the war and Nazi occupation put a halt to his career. Despite his non-conformist attitude towards the new political regime, his reputation brought him great public and private commissions for gigantic murals and monuments such as one in the National Polish University of Warsaw and a fresco at the Cultural Building of Nowa Ruda.
